Responsibilities:

• As a member of data migration team, actively involved in the design of the migration methods based on the customer requirement.

• Provided all the required information to qualify the hosts based (host analysis) on the EMC support matrix (loading “grab” utilities, collect the required data and upload them to EMC)

• Based on the EMC requirement, updated the drivers (HBA etc)/patches (Operating System) on all systems involved in the data migration.

• Performed all kinds of migration methods (Array based – Open Replicator/SRDF and Host based – Open Migrator and LVM) based on the application/system availability and moved the data from 8830 to DMX2000 and DMX3000.

• Setup the “Delta Mark” as per the EMC best practice guide lines to collect the data changes occurring during the busy hours.

• Implemented a disaster recovery solution between two data centers using SRDF/A for failover and failback without impacting the production performance.

• Creating the Device groups and populating the devices (STDs, BCV/R1 and BRBCVS etc) and export those groups to the remote site to use in case of a disaster.

• Setup the “symreplicate” in a “cron” (or in a scheduler) to run at regular cycles (based on RPO time)
