Director of Procurement

Managed 12 purchasing professionals supporting 17 autonomous power generation facilities.

* Coordinated the conversion to the Corporate PeopleSoft Version 8.9 Platform procurement software for 14 power generation facilities within the allotted timeframe of 9 months while meeting all quality standards.

* Negotiated, awarded and provided contract administration for consulting contracts for the Business Development Group in their pursuit of constructing 6 new Solar Power Generation Facilities totaling approximately 150 megawatts of generation capacity.

Strategic Sourcing Manager (Siemens Account – 2007 - 2008)

Provided contract administration for account wide RFI and RFQ processes for an account wide solicitation for service contacts for Elevators, HVAC and Life Safety services.

Strategic Sourcing Manager (Bank of America Account – 2006 - 2007)

Provided contract administration for the selection of four (4) signage contractors for the conversion of signage branding for Bank of America / MBNA merger up through contract issuance. Coordinated with project management to implement contract changes. Responsible for Elevator, Janitorial, Cleaning and Life Safety contracts and daily issues related to approximately 5,000 Bank of America facilities.

* Performed an in-depth analysis of the annual total spend of $32 Million of one Janitorial Service company’s pricing matrix to accomplish an overall savings of approximately $500,000.

Procurement Manger – (2004 – 2005)

Provided contract administration for the RFP, bid evaluations and selection of six (6) signage contractors for the conversion of the signage branding for Bank of America / Fleet Boston Bank merger. Coordinated with project management to implement contract changes.

* Key player in the overall signage branding project, meeting the completion schedule of 12 months and saving in excess of $40 million on this project with a total budget of $120 million.

COGENTRIX ENERGY, INC., Charlotte, NC 1989 – 2003

Director of Procurement (1998-2003)

Provided strategic direction, operational management and functional expertise for the purchasing and inventory (including warehouses) departments. Included contract negotiations, contract compliance, quality management, logistics, risk management and value analysis. Led 16 purchasing and inventory professionals for the daily-centralized support of 14 autonomous power plants generating revenues of $500 Million per year.

* Negotiated over a 15 month period a Long Term Service Agreement valued in excess of $400 million for maintenance goods and services related to 13 combustion gas turbines. Potential cost savings of $50 million over the next 10 years.

* Achieved cost containment and savings valued at $1.5 to $3 million each year for MRO purchasing activities of goods and services in excess of $50 million per year.

* Negotiated Capital Equipment purchasing activities in excess of $200 million each year, 1999 – 2001 in support of development and construction of new power plant projects. Cost savings exceeded an average of $8 million /year.

* Centralized inventory control activities minimizing inventory growth for a total inventory valued in excess of $30 million for 2003.

* Led implementation of the PeopleSoft Software Ver. 7 Modules for the Purchasing and Inventory Systems.
