Design Engineer (Steel Structures)

Having knowledge of AISC(ASD9thedition),IS-800(2007,1984),IS-801,IS-875,IS-1893(2002),MBMA(2006) CODES.

Responsibilities:

Design the steel structures (portal frames, platforms, pipe racks, mezzanines) as per the architectural drawings (or) lay outs provided by the customer and prepares the estimates using in house built spread sheet (MS-EXCEL).

Detailed analysis & design of the structure after entering into the contract.

Detailed design includes design of space frames (or) portal frames, base plates, anchor bolts, bolted connections, purlins & girts, bracings, jack beams, mezzanines (beams, columns, and joists), pipe racks and stair cases, plate girders( crane beams),crane walkways using STAAD.Pro 2006.

Preparation design sketches using auto cad 2009 and hand over to detailing department and guiding detailers in case of complex connections.

Submission of design reports including manual calculations of connections, staad 3D (or) 2D files to the consultant for the design approval from the consultant.

Projects handled (Design, Drawing and Documents submitted for the projects):

1. TG BUILDING FOR 60MW COAL BASED CAPTIVE POWER PLANT, NALGONDA DISTRICT, A.P.

CLIENT: MY HOME CONSULTANCY SERVICES PVT LTD, HYD.

DESCRIPTION: designed crane girder with walk ways for 45MT(5MT Auxiliary) crane with bay spacing of 9m and Steel clad building over an area of 20mx67m and height of 23m.

2. CLIENT: AGI –GLASSPAC, BHONAGIR, A.P.

DESCRIPTION: multi-gable building with 2 modules of 30m&23m with crane capacity of 5MT, length of the building is 84m..

3. CLIENT: INDIAN TOBBACO INTERNATIONAL, GUNTUR, A.P.

DESCRIPTION: span of 74m width with two intermediate columns and length of the building is 80m.designed pipe rack structure on the frame for service pipes. Portal bracings are designed at the intermediate column locations .

4. CLIENT: AMBUJA CEMENTS LIMITED, RABRIYAWAS, RAJASTHAN.

(gypsum shed of 35m high and 10m width,24m length with 5 platforms )

CONSULTANT: SECMEC CONSULTANTS PVT LTD, HYD.

DESCRIPTION: building is of 11m height low bay and 36 m high bay with 5 platforms in high bay & 2 platforms in low-bay.100MT gypsum silo was resting on the 4th platform in high-bay .the 35 m high bay was designed with pinned base by introducing lateral bracing and low bays are designed as fixed condition.

5. CLIENT: SHRI SAI SALES CORPORATION, MUMBAI.

DESCRIPTION: 50m span with one intermediate column having jack beams at alternate bays by providing a clear span of 15.5m.over all length of the building is 230m. this project is coming in thane, Mumbai.

6. CLIENT: ASHTALAKSHMI BOTTLING PLANT, MEDAK, HYD.

DESCRIPTION: building with one mezzanine level with live load of 5 kn/m2,and one bay is designed for a loading of 10kn/m2 including seismic bracing as per is-1893(2002) seismic coefficient method. Pipe rack structure for carrying service pipes.

All the mezzanine connections are bolted connections.
