Agency Sales Director (ASD) with MetLife, responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring and managing Financial Service Reps (FSR). I took over a staff that was floundering and with the addition of new recruits built it into a top flight staff within six months. Several of my new hires achieved “Super Starter” status within their first quarter. I was informed on 6/19/09 that my ASD management position had been eliminated due the recession as part of companywide layoffs in 2008.

I achieved MDRT status and Regional Conference qualifier awards through both the Prudential and Allstate agency system. I utilized various financial service software applications in the sales process effectively to garner new accounts. In 13 years I sold billions in Life insurance face value and had millions in investments under management.

My first job out of college, I spent my first five years as an agent and my last five as a Sales Manager. I qualified for several prestigious awards in both roles. I left because Prudential closed their 45 marketing offices in the Philadelphia area.

I am an excellent communicator, negotiator and financial advisor. I am computer proficient with a firm understanding of Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Explorer, Word, Power Point, Lotus Notes and Excel. I have many years of insurance and investment sales and sales management experience. I am a solid recruiter, trouble shooter and closer.
With a communications background, I am proficient at determining the actual needs of my client and I sell value versus price in most cases. I am an excellent coach and teacher and a good user of time management.

I maintained a 3.0 at WCU while working and paying my way through college. I volunteered my services at West Chester University Radio (WCUR) for four years. In 1982, I was elected by my peers to be General Manager of WCUR. I supervised every aspect of operation at the station including ON-AIR training, marketing, advertising, copywriter, staffing, production, budgets and ‘Shadow’ Mobile Unit. As GM, I secured $35,000 in long range planning funds from the state that propelled WCUR to FM status (91.7 FM).
Personal Information:
I served as a volunteer Coach/Umpire for West Chester East Side Little League (Majors Division ages 16-18) from 1996 to 2004. I also served as a volunteer Sound Engineer for Christ Community in West Chester for 17 years from 1988 to 2005. Presently I volunteer my time as the Public Address announcer for Delaware Christian High School Basketball in Newtown Square, PA. I am an avid sports enthusiast.
Happily married with two children ages 24 and 21, I reside in West Chester, PA.
