Major Projects

1. RoomWizardTM i18n

RoomWizard is a reservation system for meeting rooms, conference centers and shared spaces of all kinds. RoomWizard is an “information appliance” that provides touch screen access to the day’s reservations from immediately outside each meeting room, as well as web-based access to future room reservations from any networked PC. A RoomWizard system consists of a RoomWizard installed on the wall outside each meeting room. Each RoomWizard holds and manages the reservations for that particular room. Every RoomWizard is connected to the network, and using internet-technology they communicate with each other to form a complete -reservation system. Users can interact directly with each RoomWizard. Outside a meeting room, the touchscreen provides direct access to the day’s reservations. From anywhere else where network access is available, an ordinary web-browser can be used to access the miniature web-site built into each RoomWizard.

Currently RoomWizard supports English language only. The project consists of modifying it in such a way that they can support internationalization for English, French and Spanish languages.

2. MIS

Management Information System is designed to provide consolidated information regarding sales, revenue etc in form of various reports that aid management in analyzing the financial strength of the company and taking decisions for betterment. The system is developed with MVC architecture with web service as an interface for storing/retrieving data from database. The system has major four functional modules: Accounts, Reports, Import/Export and Reminders. The Accounts module incorporate functionalities for all the accounts related activities like maintaining information regarding clients, companies, banks, credit notes, debit notes, invoices, realizations etc… The Report module provides various reports like Business Analysis Report, Aging Report, MIS Report which can be exported as excel files. The import/export module provides functionality to import/export financial data from/to Tally and Quick Book. The reminder module incorporates the functionality to generate various reminders like PO Balance reminder, Due invoice reminder, Non Receipt of PO reminder etc. Reminders help a/c department to streamline the receipt of money from clients. Also, the MIS system has functionality to send credit notes, Debit notes and invoices in PDF format to clients and account managers as attachments to emails.

3. HRIS Reports

HRIS (Human Resource Information System) Reports is designed to generate various kinds of excel reports related to employee information which helps HR department to streamline their activites which seek employee information like in Visa Processing, Passport processing etc. The Project also provides a facility to generate custom report in that the user is provided with a GUI to select the fields and criteria to form a custom query and on executing it the custom report in excel is generated. The system is extensible in terms of adding more reports because the use of reflection in C#.NET and XML in code makes it possible.

4. NRIS Metadata Server System

The project has been developed for Space Applications Centre – Indian Space Research Organization (SAC-ISRO) at Ahmedabad for the fulfillment of M.C.A. semester 6 full time project training. The development work in the project consists of two parts: developing a tool that generates metadata as per NRIS standards defined by DOS (Dept. of Space) - ISRO and constructs state databases that hold these metadata and developing a web server that disseminates the metadata in different, internationally accepted, metadata styles over the network of state servers connected to a central server. The metadata generation tool is developed using Visual basic 6.0 and ArcObjects (an ESRI product) that reads the NRIS data (spatial and non spatial data collected through Remote Sensing Satellites and Census) stored in Coverage format in a GIS (Geographic Information System) package called ArcInfo and it generates the metadata (as pre NRIS standards) that includes generation of maps, spatial information and non spatial information for the resources (i.e. natural and man made resources) of our country (India) and general information about the datasets. The Web based metadata server is developed using Java servlets that resides on a central server and serves viewing of metadata for different states over the Intranet.

5. Recruitment Process Management System

The project has been developed to automate the employee recruitment process for the company CyberThink Infotech Private Ltd., Ahmedabad. The project helps in scrutinizing the candidates based on the recruitment criteria at every stage of interview process. It also generates data reports based on resume information, interview status and employee information for the selected candidates.
