Personal Statement

I am a friendly, loyal and dedicated individual who has the ambition to succeed in any given environment. Although I have extensive experience as a medical receptionist, I love to learn and am always up to a challenge in any situation. While able to work efficiently on my own, I get along well with others. I am seeking a position where I can give my best to an employer while I develop and excel.

Work Experience

Medical Receptionist (March 2002 - June 2011)

R. G. Baker DO, PC Allen Park, Michigan

Responsibilities included answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, taking prescription and referral requests and leaving messages for four doctors in a fast paced family practice

Duties also included showing patients to exam rooms after weighing and measuring them, charting their chief complaints and inquiring about prescription refills and any drug allergies

Was required to collect any monies due on accounts, collecting co-pays and deductibles, crediting the correct accounts and balancing money received each day

Added responsibilities were filing charts, locating and filing medical reports and purging charts over seven years old

Proficient in computer programs Integy and Dr’s first

Shift Manager ( February 1992 - January 2011)

Responsibilities included creating work and station schedules, keeping track of hours minors worked and keeping employee hours within budgeted allowance
