Employed by PMG as a contract machinist. The contract was with Caterpiller

Inc . in Joliet, Illinois. I was employed as a CNC Grinder. The parts I

produced were finished product for their 100 ton to 400 ton trucks. The

parts were close tolerance, expensive, large and heavy. Parts weighed from

600 lbs. to 3,000 lbs. and required cranes to load and unload along with

fork trucks to move them. I was required to program, set-up and run Gioria

CNC grinders.

2010 to 2012 Southwest Precision

Murrietta, California

Southwest is a family owned job shop that has been in business for 15

years. I was hired as a working manager of the machine shop. Southwest has

four employees. My responsibilities revolved entirely around the shop.

Organize and schedule work flow, order tools, guide and assign employee

work, create CNC programs, set-up CNC machines, and assist with quoting.

2009 to 2010 Malones CNC Manufacturing

Grove, Oklahoma

Malones is a government contractor specializing in after market spares for

military aircraft. I was hired during a growth period for the company as

the Engineering Manager. My duties were to organize and streamline the

engineering department through this newly created position. I was

responsible for four employees. The department was responsible for

manufacturing planning, tooling, and CNC programming.

1998 to 2009 Lomac Technology

Temecula, California

Lomac Technology is a small machine shop. I am the sole proprietor. Lomac

has two CNC Lathes, one CNC Mill, two Bridgeport mills and support

equipment. As the sole proprietor and only employee of Lomac my

responsibilities are endless. Bidding and securing work. Program, setup,

and machine all jobs as they come in utilizing CNC lathes, CNC mills,

manual mills, and manual lathes.

1993 to 1998 Kaiser Electroprecision

Irvine, California

Originally hired as Senior Manufacturing Engineer with initial

responsibilities for process flow, set-up reduction and cost reduction in

the Boeing Actuator Line. After three months at this position company re-

organized into Focused Factories and I was promoted to Operations Manager.

The duties with this position required initial set-up and co-location of

the team. Responsibilities included running the entire focus factory as a

separate business entity with ultimate accountability for the team's

success. This accountability included sales, manufacturing, quality,

profitability, forecast, and execution to profit plan.

1989 to 1993 Pacific Scientific Corp.

Yorba Linda, California

Employed as Manufacturing Engineer with main scope of duties of developing

manufacturing processes and instructions, implementation of JIT program,

set-up reduction, implement KanBan system, implement cellular

manufacturing, capital justification and implementation, shop floor support

and CNC programming. After one year of employment the company went through

a re-organization into product lines with all personnel required to support

the product line responsible for the line. My basic Manufacturing Engineer

duties remained as before only focused directly to a specific line and with

a dramatic increase in responsibility. These increased responsibilities

included all duties related to machine shop manager, manufacturing

engineer, and production planner rolled into one.

1987 to 1989 Custom Technology

Torrance, California

Employed as General Manager of an independently owned, 10 person job shop.

Responsibilities included outside sales, quoting, scheduling, planning and

delivery, process definition, programming, payroll, and general shop

management. At time of hire shop consisted of 5 machinists including

myself. Hired in as machinist and worked my way up to General Manager. Was

originally responsible for program, setup and run of CNC lathes and CNC

mills.

1985 to 1987 Ventura Metal Products Group

West Los Angeles, California

Responsible for overall operation of 15 person job shop. Responsibilities

included production scheduling, parts planning, fixture building, outside

processes, CNC programming, operating supplies, shipping and receiving.

Started machining career in deburing and polishing. Moved to tool crib and

gained experience in types of cutting tools and sharpening of cutting

tools. Assigned to machine shop and gained experience in set-up and

operation of lathes, mills, grinders, measuring tools, tolerances and blue

print reading. Worked in tooling department responsible for set-up,

programming, and operation of CNC mills, lathes and jigbores. Gained

considerable experience in programming, design and building of tooling.

Working supervisor responsible for assigning jobs to staff, assisting

machinists in set-up and editing of machine programs. When staff were busy

did machine set-ups, programs, and production work.

Additional:

The period from 1977 to 1985 served as a tremendous foundation for building

a career in manufacturing. There is no greater experience than that gained

in the job shop environment. The period from 1985 to the present has served

as an outstanding experience in shop and office management. I have a well

rounded background in manufacturing from the shop floor to office

management. I am able to work in office as well as machine shop

environment. I am extremely computer literate with abilities to perform

well with a variety of CAD/CAM software's such as MasterCam, Autocad,

Unigraphics. Also have sound knowledge of office suite systems such as

Microsoft Office and Lotus Smartsuite. It is rare to find technical know

how combined with extensive management and leadership abilities.
