VP Loss Control Services
Understanding the operating processes of companies in the manufacturing,
transportation, service, steel and foundry, supplier and construction businesses to
provide effective preventative solutions for loss prevention. Coordinated the
scheduling of all phases of property and casualty (safety) loss control activities for the
large clients of the Southfield and Grand Rapids offices. Responsible for interacting
with insurance carrier’s loss control, claims and underwriting departments to fully
utilize their resources to benefit clients.
• Conducted on-site surveys of client operations and determined corrective action
based on loss history. Developed narrative reports for agency marketing to various
insurance carriers.
• Developed and facilitated monthly safety meeting for clients to improve safety
awareness and accountability which reduce the hazards for injuries.

injury rate to the industry average. This created a baseline to measure performance

international UAW representatives on contractual health and safety agreements and
compliance of OSHA standards.
Glass Plant Safety Engineer 1984 -1986
Directed the safety, fire prevention and industrial hygiene programs for 1000
employees of the Dearborn Glass Plant at the Ford Rouge Complex. Partnered with
UAW counterparts to reduce hazardous conditions, investigated accidents and
implemented corrective action, maintained OSHA recordable accidents statistics and
performed basis industrial hygiene testing.

Assisted in directing the safety and industrial hygiene programs for railroad, truck
fleet, and construction crews within the Rouge complex. Also performed same duties
at the Dearborn Research and Engineering Center.
