Full time core supply chain IT team member responsible for major business initiative to create one set of common business processes and applications (foundation SAP AFS ECC 5.0) to support a common and centralized business structure strategy.

Team lead for inventory management blueprinting phase which included gathering and mapping business requirements related to sales and distribution (SD) and materials management (MM) functions applying SAP best business practices. Tasks included:

Responsible for the planning, development, testing, training, implementation and support of manufacturing execution and warehouse management applications utilizing LXE, JANUS, and SYMBOL RF data collection including conveyor automation for 7 - 10 manufacturing/ distribution centers in the United States, Mexico and Central America.

Lead Analyst responsible for integrating 3rd Party Warehouse Management System (WMS) application running at four distribution centers. Responsible for the design, implementation and support of all interfaces (SAP R/4 MM/PP) related to inventory valuation, replenishment, and fulfillment of customer orders running on various hardware platforms including UNIX and Windows.

Gathered requirements from distribution management and created statement of work for vendors. Responsibilities also included coordinating integration activity between vendors involving material handling equipment including conveyor (Rockwell Automation) and pick to light (PTL - Lighthouse Selection) software/hardware.

Additional responsibilities included working directly with facility management in the planning, procurement, and coordination of hardware/software required to support distribution center business processes including material management, order fulfillment, and transportation. Responsible for defining strategic plans for hardware and software upgrades enhancements to support uninterrupted distribution operations.

Lead IT analyst for distribution reconfiguration projects to improve operations resulting in significant cost savings and improved service levels. Defined all user interfaces, and reporting requirements based on JAD workshops with distribution management and vendors

A member of several process improvement teams representing WMS application reviewing inventory procedures, issues and implementing controls to improve inventory accuracy. In addition, implemented controls and procedures for Sarbanes/Oxley (SOX) compliance related to the WMS.

Responsible for holding monthly meetings with distribution staff defining new business requirements and issues involving the WMS, including mandates from customers and vendors.
