CREDENTIAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN JORD

• Combining the PQR welding for ASME and AS code and reduced the testing costs wherever possible.

• Created In-house calibration procedures for major quantity items and reduced the calibration cost of measuring instruments by doing In-house calibration activities.

• Developed around a 50 numbers of new WPS/PQR’s with GTAW/GMAW/FCAW/SAW processes for more stringent requirements and upgraded the facility to do various and wide range of welding for the major client’s jobs.

• Developed a new PQR for Incoloy weld overlay and developed a number of Tube to Tube sheet welding PQR with manual and Orbital welding for the code compliances and for the stringent requirements of our major clients.

• Developed new NDT procedures for ASME and AS code requirements.

• Headed the re-certification of ASME U, new certification of U2 and R for JORD for the next 3 years.

• Successful completion of first R stamp job with compliance of NBIC 23 at Jord for Punj Lloyd, Thailand.

EXCEL Major Activity

• A Third party inspection agency involved in inspection of equipments pertaining to refinery applications, cement plants, Gas power plant and Non conventional energy applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for various inspection and expediting services including NDE activities like MPI, PT, UT, RT for pressure parts like Piping, Pressure Vessels, SAW pipes, Line Pipes for oil and gas flow equipment for Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Cement plants, Process industries etc.

• Responsible for the review of entire Material Test Certificates and documents as per Quality Plan, Purchase order and specification.

• Responsible for qualifying the welding procedure and issuing the welder performance certificate according to code requirements.

• Responsible for Inspection of stages as specified in Inspection Test Plan which includes Hydro Static Tests Pneumatic Testing, Destructive Testing. (viz. Tensile, Bend, Impact, Nick Break and Hardness test etc...

• These are Carbon Steel / Alloy Steel Co-Duct, Drums, Dampers with material thickness ranging from 12 to 30 mm and executed for Gas Power Plants.

• Heavy Platforms Structures with Ladders, Ladder Gauges for the above.

B. NTPC Thalichar Projects handled by Mitsui Babcock Energy India Ltd.,

• The pressure vessel project consists and the pressure equipments are constructed with a material SA 516 Gr.70 with a thickness range of 20 to 48 mm.
