• High performance grout with excellent workability, color uniformity and high abrasion and impact resistance.

• Creation of a zero VOC, non-toxic elastomeric textured exterior finish for Japanese market.

• Biodegradable stucco cleaner designed to remove grime, and common household stains.

• Environmentally and safe handling efflorescence cleaner designed for removal of primary efflorescence.

• Developed structural precast formula that increased production while meeting load bearing requirements.

• Responsible for establishing QC procedures of all developed products which include the use of the following instrumentation/specifications:

• ASTM Testing Protocols

• United System Mechanical Instrument for Compression, Tensile, Flexural and Shear strength determination.

• Brookfield Viscometer.

• Moisture meter

• Design all Technical Data Sheets and MSDS’ in both English and Spanish for all developed products.

Project/Lab Leader

• Finished product development and product evaluations within allotted times and to the highest quality.

• Supervise and develop Junior Formulations chemists.

• Provide weekly progress reports and detailed daily lab logs to lab manager in order to determine appropriate actions to complete projects.

• Create bimonthly seminar presentations to fellow associate chemists on new technologies that could be incorporated into our formulations and new formulation strategies.

• Kept R&D lab stocked with necessary raw materials and ordered raw material samples that were deemed beneficial to our formulation efforts.

Summer Research Program

I.U.P.U.I, Indianapolis, IN

Research Scholar June 2009 - August 2009

• Investigated the role of 4-phenyl butyrate in protein translation in A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cells and its involvement it the TOR pathway.

Introduced a poly-linker site onto an expression vector using molecular biology techniques to increase use of vector in transfections.

Undergraduate Research

C.S.U. Fullerton, Fullerton, CA

Student Research Assistant September 2006 - May 2009

Purified the His-tagged glgC1 and His-tagged glgC2 proteins from T. maritima and optimized the protein purification protocol to obtain higher yields in conjunction with higher purity.

• Carried out enzymatic assays using radio labeled substrates to determine enzyme kinetics of a mutant His-tagged glgC2.

Used molecular cloning techniques to create an expression vector containing the glgC1and glgC2 genes from Thermotoga Maritima

Carried out the purification of the native glgC2 and glgC1 gene products using anion, cation, and hydrophobic exchange, column chromatography.

Carried out enzymatic assays using radio-labeled substrates to determine enzyme kinetics.
