Duties:

I was a medical assistant for a private practice pediatric facility. I ordered vaccines, supplies, scheduled patients using Lytec software. I organized the practice side, billing, coding, phone triage as needed and flu shot clinics translating for 3 providers. Vaccines, I&D, Circumcisions in office, small procedures such as wart removal, non indwelling catheterization in pediatric patients. UA’s, vitals, vision and hearing screens, obtaining patient H&P’s Nebulizer and Asthma teaching for parents, referrals, pre-certs scheduling, nursery calls, obtaining records from other facilities, prescription refills. Rapid flu and strep as well as RSV testing.

At the university, I worked floating around 2 floors of Internal Medicine.
