Fannie Mae, Herndon, VA

Projects: LQCS, CLM Equator, REO Integration, SMDU 6.1 and 6.01, CDR/NUCDM 1.0, CDM 4.3, Surveillance 3.0/2.0, Monthly BO Matrix, NPDC and QAS2.

LQCS (Loan Quality Connect System)

LQCS system sends loan review data to LRIS via a web service. The data is sent at various times throughout the loan review process. LRIS serves as an event orchestrator and will interface with LQCS via the XML Gateway. LRIS receives the loan review data from LQCS, transforms the data to the Enterprise Common Format (ECF), and publish the related events to the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). EDI, LSP, and other systems (e.g., Data Change Central (DCC) will listen to the events on the ESB and take the appropriate action. EDI will persist the event payload to the Integrated Data Store (IDS) and make the data available to downstream systems for reporting and analysis.

CLM (Credit Loss Management) – Equator and REO Integration.

Equator platform is a web-based application that will allow Fannie Mae to manage REO assets through a task-based workflow system. Equator project is initiated to retire the Fannie Mae legacy system called as TRAX. New and existing properties from TRAX will be moved to Equator through a process called EPI. As part of this project, workflow is tested for the foreclosed properties from Equator to TRAX for integration testing. Data is received as XML files from Equator through a process called Synchrony and it will be updated in TRAX by running related autosys batches.

SMDU-BAT (Servicer Management Default Underwriter - UAT):

SMDU is a technology platform used by mortgage servicers to provide consistent, real-time decisions on mortgage loan modifications and other solutions for homeowners with payment challenges. SMDU enables workout decisions based on Fannie Mae and Servicing Alignment Initiative guidelines by integrating with existing loss mitigation systems, enhancing solution delivery during the foreclosure prevention process.

CDM 4.3:

The continuing objective of the Credit Data Mart (CDM) formerly known as CLM ODS is to provide a trusted, consistent and consolidated data source for CLM & NSO business and operations management reporting. The Credit Data Mart provides a comprehensive picture from servicer origination and support activities through Fannie Mae disposition. The strategy is to continue to expand and include relevant Credit related data for both internal and external customers while aligning with the Credit Data Strategy vision.

This maintenance release adds new data elements to expand central reporting for the MIS team as well as resolve defects and major/minor maintenance items.

Monthly BO Objects Releases:

The release updates are for reporting the correct business analysts name in the report by using the Business Objects, object that calls the function code. This release enables the correct analyst name to reflect in the Production Business Objects reports.

Surveillance 3.0 and 2.0:

The Surveillance application is a web-based solution for delivering the most current servicer, loan, and loss mitigation information that can be captured from multiple feeder systems including: servicers, public reporting agencies, providers and internal Fannie Mae systems. The purpose of this release is to add more reports to meet the business need to identify exceptions for action. The reports are field tested for usefulness before they are implemented into the Surveillance application. Once in the application, all the reporting capability is available for all Servicers’ PMs using the same Methodology and Data Sources. This is critical for uniform information and appropriate decisions on the Server’s portfolios.

QAS2:

The National Underwriting Center (NUC) manages Fannie Mae’s loan level quality assurance by reviewing loan files, analyzing and reporting on significant loan quality trends, and initiates necessary action to mitigate losses using the Quality Assurance System (QAS). QAS tracks loan files and manages the processes associated with requesting and reviewing selected loan files and tracks the results of loan reviews, repurchase activity, and final resolution. The primary users of QAS are the NUC, the Centralized Repurchase Team (CRT), appraisers, underwriters, lenders, and technicians.
