General Dynamics IT. December 2011 -- 6/2012

Sr. Data Architect.

I was tasked to develop a new data infrastructure including data access, transport and architecture. The client, a national health care system and care provider, had multiple core systems and several downstream dependent systems (internal and external). The initiative included the decoupling of functionality from closely related system in which they were co-embedded. This included developing new business applications, UI, Data Services and database.

I developed an architectural plan for development for the development of new applications, integrations (internal and external) and new data architecture, conceptual, logical data model, physical model and API plan for application data objects interfacing. I created presentation material for client management, team management and management of our partnering systems. I produced system supporting diagrams including data access diagram, details of the data environment, systems environment, logical data diagram, physical data diagram and application and Data services ERD diagrams. I created database DDL and deployments plans and scripts.

I developed project plan to implement data services support for MDM scheme. Developed a callable API interface for web services development. Develop backend data services to imbed MDM business logic and registration processes.

My solution was a paradigm shift to an enterprise solutions perspective supported by data services. My objective was to promote data development perspective which would yielded more flexibility, functionality with much increased ROI. Still, while delivering this architectural plan for systems, data and development. It was important to show a compliment to a code developers' only driving, development approach.
