I assist the families with learning how to handle the identified child’s behavior without overreacting which could create increased problems in the home. I am tagged with coordinating with linking and monitoring all services for the child while they are authorized. During weekly services, I teach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques, Evidenced Based Practices and Motivational Interviewing Skills to assist individuals with increasing their positive behaviors. I work within a team concept where if assistance is needed to help a co-worker, assistance is provided. I coordinate with other community resources to provide the best available services for individuals and their families. I provide case management services which include the development and management of all required documents such as the Person Centered Plan, TAR, NC Tops and other related documents.

4/2015 - 6/2019 Onslow County Department of Social Services- Guided families through services assessing needs periodically and making appropriate referrals. Counsel parents in ways to improve the ability to parent their children. Assist the families with reunification while documenting every step. Present case in court after writing a detailed court report.

4/2014 - 4/2015 Caswell Developmental Center- Develop behavioral plans, train staff how to use behavioral techniques to assist clients. Assist psychologist in writing behavioral plans for 100 plus clients with ever changing needs.
