• Develop and maintain relationships with clients. Act as a liaison between clients, the general agency and insurance carriers by maintaining regular contact with all involved. Ensure that communication flows effectively and be familiar with services, applications and instructors in order to discuss and explain materials to current clients and prospective clients.

• Responsible for contacting and qualifying prospective clients by telephone, explaining features and merits of policies offered and recommending the amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect’s risk characteristics.

• Obtains underwriting information from clients. Applies to insurance carriers on behalf of prospective clients for desired workers compensation products.

• Obtain quotes from insurance carriers and call policyholders to deliver quotes. Explain policy details to suggest additions or changes in insurance programs.

• Ability to negotiate competitive quotes from underwriters to clients.

• Performs a variety of accounting activities related to the payment and receipt of invoices.

• Computes, classifies, records, and reconciles transactions into the financial accounting systems. Checks transactions to locate and resolve discrepancies.

• Reviews invoices to ensure that they are accurate and complete.

• Processes various invoices for payment. Responsible for performing other basic clerical duties associated with accounts payable.

• Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.

• Verifies and posts accounts receivable transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records. Follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
