Director of Materials & Logistics • National Packaging Co., Inc. Decatur, AL. National Packaging Company is a food-grade packaging company, specializing in blending & packaging free-flowing, food-grade powders.
• Reported to the President with a dotted line to the Director of Finance to meet the financial goals and targets for the company.
• Planned, Directed, and Coordinated purchasing, scheduling, and material control utilizing our ERP-MRP for 12 different customers: consisting of over 1000-part numbers with over 2600 MRO part numbers.
• Supervised Warehouse and Materials Departments with 15 Associates on a 24/7 operation.
• Responsible for shipping and transportation of 100 shipments a month to 40 different distribution centers and warehouses. The average sales dollar value was $400k.
• Managed Purchasing – scheduling staff responsible for all material and MRO items to support the manufacturing process to timely meet the customers’ orders.
• Maintained inventory levels and reported inventory and dollar levels to ownership.
• Succeed in turning inventory every other week on high dollar material.
• Developed long-term relationships with MRO suppliers, to ensure a flawless supply chain, with little to no interruption in difficult times. Plus, able to keep pricing competitive.
• Collaborated with Sales Department for material for the new customers and potential customers.
