SUMMARY

I am currently working as a Japanese language LQA technician. I test-play games in development, looking for translation errors, unnatural sentences or expressions that are difficult to convey based on Japanese culture, and report back to the client with improvements.

My main tasks are proofreading and reporting bugs that occur during localisation, but I also translate from English to Japanese as necessary when requested by the client.

I enjoy getting to work with project leads and other language testers towards the common goal of perfecting a game. It is rewarding seeing a tested game launch and receive positive reviews from players.

I am passionate about the gaming industry and looking to further my career in this field. I am a native Japanese speaker and am fluent in both written and spoken English.
