I was the head optometrist and interim manager of the eye clinic. I managed several cases and developed confidence and good communication skills. My manager was impressed by the way I supervised and cooperated with the interns I worked with. We embarked on eye awareness campaigns, free eye screening programs in communities, and vision screening exercises in schools. We learnt how to work effectively, even under pressure.

Award: Best Clinical Student, Nigeria Optometric Association (N.O.A.) President’s Award given on 19th June 2009 at the Optometry induction program in Abia State University.
Appointed team leader in the community outreach group of Optometry Clinical students of Abia State University in 2007. I was dubbed,” Most meticulous clinician”.
