Responsibilities:

• I received, unloaded and processed incoming shipments using Distribution Standard System (DSS). While on DSS system I picked, packed, and stowed material in the warehouse. I checked accompanying documentation against container or packing labels. Followed established procedures in reporting over, short, misdirected, or damaged materials. I assembled items for shipment in the loading area according to information provided on the shipping requests and checked the condition of shipping containers prior to loading. Ensured shipments are properly loaded onto the right conveyances. Correctly counted types and quantities of items during inventories, and maintained tally listings during the count. Recounted or searched other storage locations to assist in determining the basis for over, short, or misplaced items.

• I provided tailored customer support, maintained customer data, and responded to customer inquiries. I reviewed backorder status reports on a daily basis and took appropriate action to escalate backorders in meeting customer requirements. I investigated, coordinated and released sales orders that inhibit flow through automated systems. I applied DLA expedite policy and other standard operating procedures to request expedited actions within supply chains and/or emergency issuance from controlled stock.
