Position: Senor Strategic Account Sales Engineer

Responsivities: Maintain current sales and grow specific large accounts. To accomplish this goal, I was expected to grow and maintain the current business, while at the same time develop new product opportunities to fit

Customer Applications.

Customers include the following:

Heating and Air Conditioning market and various cooking accounts, Agriculture and Refrigeration accounts:

Rheem all locations in the US and Canada:

•Get gas valve business back and enter into a multiyear contract for a revised gas new, for a new product they were introducing to the Market.

•Regrow broken relationship with the company and arrange several meetings with top level personnel.

•Develop plans to get them to Itasca or trade show for update meeting on gas valve technology and application.

•Other customers assigned in this market were.

•Carrier, Nortec, Lennox, Bard, Goodman, Williams and other smaller accounts

Honda all locations in the US and Canada:

•Water vale and electronic thermostat for the Marysville, Ohio and the all-Canadian plants (Honda).

•Honda,

•First Electronic control in the US.

•First contract for cars manufactured in USA.

•First Multiyear contract for products made in the United States.

•These advances were made possible by a team effort in all the various phases of negotiations and manufacturing. Most of the listed advances were made possible by the teams I put together.

• Ford, Chevrolet (OEM) and Service responsibilities for all the US plants.

•Water valves, electromechanical thermostat, all replacement parts for older car models we supplied.

Cooking:

•Pitco (part of the (Middleby Group) Concord New Hampshire, and Blodgett (Burlington, Vermont). Took business away from competitor and negotiated a new contract for an improved valve. Other business opportunities switched the thermocouple, thermophile business in addition led the engineering on a revision of electronic limit control and was awarded all the business.

•Hobart (Part of ITW) Piqua, Ohio, coordinated orders with field service and main branch for quantity and costing. Troy location was dishwashers regained gas valve and working with engineering developed new steam table application.

•Other food related customers: Duke Manufacturing, Beverage Air, Hussmann, Nelson, Manitowoc, Kelvinator, Amana, Viking, General Electric, Star, Royal, Continental Fogel, National Refrigeration, Mirra Pizza Oven, Lincoln, Vollrath Forno Bravo and others available on request.

Mobile cooking absorption refrigeration and propane cooking controls:

•Dometic, Norcold and Subzero all of these used some type of gas valve and temperature controls.

Thermal heat Pumps:

-Water Furnace, Carrier, Bard, Rheem, Goodman

Marine applications:

•Kenyon, Admiral, Marine development and Coastal Design

Fireplaces:

•King Fireplace, Hearth and Home, Vermont, Fireplace products, Monessen, CFM, Empire, Kozy, Cozy, Hearth Products, Hearth and Home, Glowcore, Heat and Glow,

Agriculture:

•Roxell, Tyson, Aerovent, Controlled AG, TMX, GSX, Hired Hand and Big Dutchman

Water heater:

•Bradford White, Rheem, American, GSW (Canada), Laars

Specialty:

Briskheat, Thermcore, Thermal supplies, Watlow, Medical Cabinet Builders, contractors for poultry and Hog Barns one day set-up (controls for heating and cooling) Sussman Steam Heaters, Woodstone, Precision and others available if needed.

Wholesalers:

Johnstone Supply Headquarters and all branches, Grainger (headquarters) / all branches, Sid Harvey (Headquarters) /all branches, United /all branches, Coastal Supply, FW Webb, Ferguson, Refrigeration Sales, Carr Supplies, RHI Supplies, Economy, ABCO, East coast.

Travel: Canada, Mexico, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, Austria, Japan, and other areas.

Products:

Electromechanical controls Gas Valves, Electronics, Pressure Controls, Temperature Controls, Manifolds and Burners, Thermophiles, High Limit Controls, Thermocouples and Programmable controls all were manufactured in Mexico.

I was assigned to the Mexican plants several times to help with quality problems and shipping issues.

Additional Plants were located in India, England, Italy, France, Japan, and China. I have escorted customers to all of the pants listed except India to close contracts.

1978 – 1983 Marketing analysis

Responsible for the market trends, new products and costing of products.

Training in the factory on control builds and applications.

Customer visits with sales force.

1983-1986 Sales and Engineering training

Visit the bigger customers to review control updates and new products.

After a year I got territory, combined Wholesale and OEMS.

1987 – 1999 Eastern Regional Sales Manager (OEM and Wholesale Sales Manager):

•Five OEM salesmen and four sales agencies, six direct wholesale sales engineers calling on the East Coast, Refrigeration and Heating Wholesalers.

•OEM’s Honda, GM, Honda, Ford, major East Coast and Midwest Wholesalers, cooking customer, Copeland and Tecumseh compressors, automotive aftermarket.

•Averaged 15% increase year over year.

1999 – 2006 National Sales Manager (OEM only):

•This responsibility included all of the Us and Canada.

•Companies included all of the above plus Goodman, Lennox, Nortek, Trane, Carrier, Bard, Williams Furnace, GSW, Bradford White, Sussman, Hussmann, all the Hearth Market, Ouellet, Island Aire, Slant-Finn, Lennox refrigeration.

•Twenty salesmen a and three sales rep agencies.

2006 – 2010 Senior Strategic Account Manager (OEM only):

•Handled several of the large accounts.

•Honda, Copeland, Tecumseh, Lennox, Bradford White and Ouellet (Quebec City, Quebec).

•The balance of the accounts was located in Canada.

•Each Company averaged 4-8 million.

•My team and I got several new applications and reworked a couple of old products to help grow the business by 8% on new product and 5% on the mature part of the line.

2010 – 2015 Heating and Cooling Product Manager (OEM only):

•Territory expanded to selected accounts in the 50 states and all of Canada.

•Products included Electronics from Italy, England, Australia and Brazil.

•My team and I introduced several new products, this helped to slow growth in a deteriorating market.

•Customers Rheem, Carrier, Goodman, Trane, Nortec, GSW, Sussman,

2015-2018 Territory Account Manager (OEM only);

•Territory Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Virginia, West Virginia, Rhode Island and Maine.

•Six new products introduced in the New Hampshire and Vermont area these were finalized last September, the territory will grow by $4,000,000 this coming year.

•Old product refurbished sales this year will grow $300,000

Additional Information: Travel included Ireland, Europe, England, Mexico, Canada, France and other countries.
