Checked badges of employees to make sure that they were up to date and that they were cleared to pass. I did rounds of the facility to make sure that everything was good and if any reports needed to be written. kept a daily log of activities throughout the night.

Worked dispatch and made sure that employees properly wore their badges will in the building. I made sure that the other officers were at their designated posts. I also checked patrons that were coming onto the Casino floor were of the legal age. I escorted the playing chips to the gaming tables. I complete written reports if needed for incidents, assisted with medical issues at the Casino. When I was not working in the Security Department, I would be a host for any banquets that they had booked.

I was a member of the Johnson County Sherrif’s Explorer Post 521 in Iowa City, Iowa
I did hands on training in Law Enforcement learning the many roles that are in the field of Law Enforcement. Was Chief of the Explorer Post from 1998-2000, did traffic control at the County Fair during the day and some at night and patrolled the grounds with other Deputies, and at the Herbert Hoover days in West Branch Iowa. I rode along with the other departments and observed the Deputies up in the County jail with their roles in the department. Was able to participate in booking people into the jail, getting their meals to them and getting the people ready for Court the next morning.
