I was drafted into the Army 2nd/32nd Rangers operating Field Club and won 2 Wrestling Championships. Attended Ranger Non-Commissioned Officers Academy and was part of the Color Guard Team. Went to Europe and was an interpreter of German as we went from Town to Town and interoperate German. I would hook up with Burgermeister's for water and to let them know we were coming. The meetings were all in the Guesthouses and they would feed me and the women wanted to dance with Americans. Although I was next to a Hand Grenade that left me partially deaf in both ears. So I use hearing aids. Thanks

I had free Labor as a Teacher in the NC Prison System. We did what was called French Entrenchment. This is done by digging down 3 feet and mixing cow manure with the soil and now we started plants on Mounds 6' By 20'. We planted Vegetable seeds that shot up out of ground. After planting seed they became about 3 " in growth. We then transplanted on about 4 acres. That garden produced so much vegetables that we gave over 5000 pounds to the poor people in Hoke county. Somehow the Governor heard about it and gave Prisoners a Plaque from Governor Hunt..
