RWE have decided to sell the service leg of the business, I was asked to come back and assist with the sale of the business and run the services side while the prospective takeover completes. There is a high degree of management required for staff and current business to enable all CAPEX work packages to complete successfully and to safety standards while uncertainty is prevalent through the sale process. As overhaul manager I have to grow the business and manage expectations of planned projects through a difficult process. Projects such as large coal fired power plants with CAPEX improvements are significant within RWE, I have managed these projects from pre -planning stage, through to execution.

With budgets of over 84M in opex and 16M in capex DCS upgrade and Life Time extensions the maintenance managers role is to direct and report upwards to the Executive managing director of Taweelah Asian Power Company. Introducing RCM, new quality control documentation through a technical support team. Reporting to board of directors on operational and maintenance aspects of the plant.

Workshop Manager

RWE npower is one of the UK’s leading energy providers, part of the RWE Group, who are active in the generation, trading, transmission and supply of electricity and gas.

The Technical Support Group (TSG), is based at Ferrybridge and offers maintenance and workshop services to power and other heavy industries.

Lead Project Engineer/ Site Manager

Working within RWE Technology as a key member of the project team, delivering the successful completion of a replant CAPEX project on a CCGT in the UK. The project was worth in excess of £150M CAPEX, and focused on the replacement of two GE 9F Turbines with upgraded components, leading the station into a further 20 years of running capability.
