Analyzed, enhanced and tested new and existing programs and job flows; using COBOL, VSAM, and CICS for the MMIS system for the Wyoming Department of Health utilizing the mainframe and SQL Server 2012 environments. Before putting the new programs into production, the enhancements made to them were tested. Used CICS/Expediter to test and debug CICS programs. Wrote test plans and documentation for the user. Analyzed the user’s data and responded to their requests.

Wyoming Department of Family Services – Cheyenne, WY Mar 2009–Nov 2010 Analyzed, designed, programmed and tested modifications and enhancements to the Parental Obligation System for Support Enforcement system using COBOL/DB2/SQL in the UNIX, Windows, SQL Server environment. The system is a statewide child support enforcement program responsible for establishing paternity, medical and child support orders; enforcement and modifications of medical and child support orders; and collection and disbursement of child support payments. Documented the changes and enhancements made to the existing system.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield – Helena, MT Dec. 2008 – Feb 2009

Analyzed, designed, programmed and tested modifications to the existing batch and online programs using COBOL/DB2/Ascential in a SQL Server/mainframe environment. Performed extract, transform and load duties for the SQL data warehouse. Using SQL wrote stored procedures. Designed and developed tables

for the data warehouse. Produced the appropriate documentation and notifications for changes made to production systems or fixes for production problems.

Analyzed, designed, programmed and tested modifications to the existing batch and online programs using COBOL/DB2 in a mainframe/Windows environment. Analyzed and wrote design documents to incorporate the new eREP tables and files into the existing old mainframe eligibility system; COBOL programs; JCL and PROC’s. Created and modified existing JCL and PROC’s. Wrote Oracle queries and stored procedures on the SQL Server. The changes and enhancements were documented to the existing programs.

Supported the Data Warehouse for the Medicaid System for the State of New Mexico. Wrote, enhanced and maintained the existing desktop systems and queries using Access, Rapid SQL, Cognos with Sybase on the SQL Server. Tested these desktops and queries and moved them into production. Talked to the users, analyzing there problems and concerns. Wrote documentation for these enhancements to the existing

Analyzed, modified, enhanced and tested programs for the Order Processing, Bilback, File Maintenance and Statement Reconciliation reporting systems for the grocery stores using COBOL in a Windows/mainframe environment and SQL/Microfocus COBOL on the SQL Server. Wrote SQL programs using stored procedures to convert files and write reports. Wrote and modified JCL job streams in the testing and production mainframe environment. Wrote and modified shell scripts on the server in the testing and production environments. Did performance tuning on the SQL programs on the SQL Server.
