Summary

I am an international medical graduate holding ECFMG certification on a J1 visa. Did my medical graduation and child neurology residency in India. Started my 2-year clinical epilepsy fellowship at CCHMC in July 2022. My epilepsy training at Cincinnati Children’s offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and management of children with epilepsy. Routine schedules involve reading video EEGs, critical care EEGs, stereo EEGS, intraoperative ECoG, functional

(cortical) mapping, monitoring the patients admitted to EMUs, presenting and discussing the potential candidates in the epilepsy surgery conferences, and postoperative follow-up of patients. I have a special interest in the surgical management of drug-resistant epilepsies and have been also gaining experience in the ketogenic diet applications and various neurostimulation therapies, including vagal nerve stimulation (VNS), responsive nerve stimulation (RNS), and deep brain stimulation (DBS). In addition, my clinics render an experience with patients who have drug-resistant epilepsy and other types of epilepsy that are difficult to manage. Further, I am getting to experience sleep medicine and critical care and video EEGs on the adult side through timely rotations. Regarding board certification, I will be eligible to apply for the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology with added competency in EEG/Epilepsy after my fellowship.
