Led the review of potential OEM suppliers with Global Sourcing team, assess total capability and make final recommendations to senior management for new Rotary turn, Bore and grinding systems.

Designed detailed Turn Key, Lean Manufacturing Cell workstation layouts in CAD for all new, Rotors Machining, Turbine Wheel Grinding System cells. This includes foundation design, auxiliary equipment, tooling calibration equipment and fixture and tool Kanban systems.

Designed and developed special precision automated work holding fixtures, Lift fixtures and custom cutting tools in support assigned rotors machining equipment.

Developed and implemented an improved Turbine Wheel bolt hole-boring process through use of Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow Mapping and Kaizen workouts eliminating over 25 hours of cycle per Turbine Wheel set. Annual savings of 360K.
