*Community Pathologist-Hired as Staff Pathologist after residency in 2004 and became partner in 2008. Shared AP/CP duties among a 7 pathologist group with approximately 31,500 surgicals, 15,200 cytology’s (13, 000 paps, 2,200 non-gyn). Experience with Ventana Benchmark XT and Dako Autostainer Link 48 immunohistochemical stainers, Ventana Vias digital analyzer. Instrumental in bringing in-house professional component interpretation of chromogenic in-situ hybridization (c-ISH) studies of HER2/neu positive cancers. Clinical pathology duties including protein electrophoresis and immunofixation interpretation, hemoglobin electrophoresis interpretation, peripheral blood film and fluid review.
*Medical Director- Hansford County Hospital Laboratory, Spearman, TX. 2005-2011. Directed quarterly visits of rural community
ambulatory hospital laboratory, which included quality assurance review, human resource planning, test cost analysis, and capitol purchases. Oversight of CLIA inspections.
*Medical Director- Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic Laboratory. 2005-2011. Directed monthly visits of moderate-sized ambulatory clinic with review of quality assurance and new lab test implementation. Oversight of CAP inspections.
