Directed the re-opening of the 326 rooms hotel and worked with the General Contractor

Facilitate problem solving on issues with the electrical, plumbing and fire, life safety with the sub – contractors

Worked with the Fire Department on CERS/ Hazardous Materials certification

Responsible for hiring new Engineer

Responsible for contract negotiation and vendor selection

Ensure that the property is in compliance with local, state and federal codes

Work closely with the department executives to ensure all work order procedures are completed

Director of Engineering Westin Anaheim Resort, Anaheim CA June 2019-2021

Hired as an MEPF (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, life safety) Engineer to help the Director of Construction in this field of Engineering with dotted line reporting to the General Manager of the 618 room Hotel.

Facilitate problem solving between the MEPF subcontractors during construction when they arise.

Assist in the scope, review (RFI- Request for Information) budgeting and justification of MEP change work orders

Log and post all MEPF changes and as built on field drawings

Coordination and administration of MEP related materials, and systems and shop drawings submittals

Monthly job walk with MEPF subcontractors for payment application based on progress report of project.

Submit and follow up plans and permit to the City of Anaheim

Monitor and witness the installation and start-up and testing of MEPF systems and commissioning of project with start-up Engineer and manufacturer’s representative of all equipment of the entire facility.

Take overall responsibility for the performance of all the MEPF trades

Working with the General Manager to complete the critical path and task assigned by Marriott pre-opening manager

Will handle the Engineering maintenance operation once Hotel is open with four restaurant and three tenants and the parking structure
