Building Super

I am the building super for 3 properties owned by Ms. Kolombos. The buildings are located in Corona and Astoria Queens.

My duties include weekly cleaning of the hallways and common areas. This includes sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning the glass, wiping down exposed areas and areas that are touched often. I also prepare the garbage to be placed curbside for pick up. This includes separating recyclable materials from regular garbage and bagging them appropriately. It’s my responsibility to know the rules and regulations of the Dept of Sanitation and adhere to them so my employer doesn’t receive tickets. I also shovel snow when necessary and apply de-icing products to keep the sidewalks safe and passable.

When tenants move out I prepare the apartments for rental to new tenants. I remove any items left behind, clean and, if needed, paint the apartment. These duties are in addition to anything that may arise from day to day that needs to be done.
