CLINICAL ADMINISTRATOR/COO Chi Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, Little Rock, AR 06/2022 – present

Manage a multi-site rheumatology and infusion medical practice (5th location opening 10/2022) that consists of 40 clinical (Physician, NPs, Lab/X-Ray Techs) and non-clinical personnel (patient services, accounting).

Work with the Revenue Director on revenue cycle management (RCM), monitoring financials for each location, such as revenue/expense reports, overall budgets, and outstanding receivables.

Recruit, interview, and hire new medical staff accordingly. Administer salary and benefits packages for new and existing personnel. Review payroll for accuracy to time/attendance, insurance payouts, and taxes.

Coordinate with front-office staff at each clinic to identify cost-cutting measures and updated workflows to streamline operations. Ensure staff levels and expenses align with profitability goals.

Oversee business expansion efforts and select aspects of new business locations, such as floor plan layouts, utility account transfers/management, and credential verification for new hires.

Monitor medical staff credentials and initiate re-credentialing to ensure compliance with the medical board and state practice guidelines – and adhere to insurance requirements such as Medicare and Medicaid.

Managed a neurological surgery practice (grew from $2.5M to $3.6M by 2021) that consisted of a main practice with 3 satellite locations. Administered hiring, scheduling, and credentialing for a team of 20 medical staff that included 3 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Surgical Assistants, and 4 Clinical Coordinators.

Audited and monitored financials (revenue, margins) for the business specific to revenue and cost forecasting/budgeting, contract commitments/compliance, and overhead costs. Reviewed income, cash flow, and balance statements to ensure continued overall financial health/growth.

Worked with the Revenue Cycle Manager and coding staff to ensure optimal claims management and accounts receivable. Coordinated with management to improve revenue cycle workflows while reducing coding errors and claim denial rates.

Led the recruitment and hiring of nursing, technicians, and non-clinical staff. Worked with the HR department on new-hire onboarding, benefits administration, and record set up in Paychex. Ensured ongoing staff accreditation and retention measures were in place to reduce staff turnover.
