Work Experience

Sales Associate

Ohio Strong Movers

May 2015 - February 2020 • Columbus, OH

As a sales associate, I received inbound calls from customers looking for estimates to relocate. When they were interested, I'd explain that I would visit the residence if it was local and have them give me a detailed list if they weren't local. In three years I received sales associate of the month five times and sales associate of the year once. After I won associate of the year, the CEO of the company asked me to come up with a closing to pitch to the customer. Well I did so of course, I wasn't nervous because it came natural to me. I wrote up this closing and it was so good that sales went up 27% in a two year perio then COVID hit and sales took a fall that I decided to leave. I had to make a decision on what to do next for an income.

Customer Service Agent

IGS ENERGY

June 2010 - February 2015 • Columbus

Started out in the call center doing outbound calls. IGS offered fixed rates on Gas utility bills. Come to find out I was so good at it, my first eight months that I got promoted to inbound calls. I was even better with customers doing inbound calls, I made employee of the month 9 times in a two year period. Being able to talk to customers and being able to keep them extending their plan was one thing. But having a list of customers that I talked to and built relationships with over the years really built my confidence and also caught the attention of the owners of IGS and my career in sales just came naturally. So natural that IGS put me on the team to come up with a new sales pitch. I took initiative in the beginning of the pitch, it was such a good beginning that we used it and callers stayed on the phone longer and sales went up 20%. It was a great time because I received bonuses and achievement awards. I have insight to other employees in meetings on some how to and what not to do ideas to launch their sales. Education
