Managed and negotiated contractor selection, contract management and contractors’ work by setting up service for the vessels; ensured regulatory inspections were scheduled in a timely manner and controlled the expenditures within designated projects. Monitored and coordinated vessel certification inspections with external and internal customers. Regularly attended vessels during times of out-of-service or dry-docking.

Petty Officer 2nd Class, United States Navy – 1987 – 1993

Assisted with the supervision of the engine room personnel with the maintenance and upkeep of a 65,000-horsepower main engine and all associated support systems. Managed the engineering office of a 437-foot guided missile destroyer, maintaining the training and personnel records for over 100 enlisted personnel along with the ships engineering technical files.
