WORK EXPERIENCE:

Over 51 years of management and technical experience including 40 years of church management in the areas of finance and ministry volunteer selection/approval and team management with the Church Board and Church Leadership, 26 years in government accounting, contracts, subcontracting, procurement administration and 8 years in reduction and assessment of telemetry data. Familiar with competitive procurement practices, sole source and subcontracting procedures. Served as President of the National Contracts Management Association’s Chapter 72 September 2002-June 2003.

Board Member-Vice President/Treasurer/Associate Pastor/Bookkeeper (1990 to present)

Director of accounting activities for the Church, School, Café, and Bookstore to include preparing and briefing monthly and annual financial reports for the church board/membership. Developing and submitting a compensation payroll package for all church employees to the Church Board for approval. Process the bi-weekly payroll for Church and school employees, prepare federal and state monthly, quarterly and annual tax deposits and supporting reports, coordinate and oversee payroll audits; prepare and distribute W-2 forms; deposit accounts receivables for the Church and Bookstore and maintain an accounts receivable log; prepare and pay all Church related accounts payables. Reconcile the month-end bank account statements. Populate a contributor’s contribution database and issue year-end contribution statements to each contributor. Provide facility maintenance for three buildings and work with volunteers/contractors to maintain and complete contracted services.

Other duties include preparing and presenting Biblical teaching material to the Men's group and coordinating the Men’s Annual Retreat to include developing the theme, selecting the teachers, and the teachings for each teacher and selecting the location of each retreat. Oversee the ministries of Fellowship, Discipleship, Women’s Ministry, Outreach Ministries and Sunday school ministries and selecting, reviewing and approving/promoting all volunteers that support all of the church’s ministries.

Board Member duties include attending weekly and monthly meetings with the Church Board to develop and enhance ministry leadership activities, promote and monitor ministry activities and prepare the Church’s annual budget, and brief the board members on the viability of the approved budget on a quarterly basis.
