SAIC DoD Contractor Navy San Diego, CA Feb 2021 to Present Principal Electrical Engineer

SAIC Welcome to SAIC

Worked with Liquid Robotics Inc systems as a base unit testing add on prototype devices.

Worked with a group of junior mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

Worked with the technicians and pilots to deploy the units for open ocean testing.

Developed documentation and troubleshooting procedures. OPEX Corporation. Moorestown, NJ Aug 2018-Aug 2020 Logistics Support Engineer

Next Generation Automation OPEX

Warehouse automation, design and implementation for automated systems.

Support new installed systems while interfacing with the costumer and training

Working with the on sight technician to integrate our system to the existing or new handoff equipment.

Sidus Solutions. San Diego, CA July 2017-Aug 2018

Systems Design Engineer

Robotic design for deep sea underwater ROV’s to CE standards

I has hired back by Sidus Solutions to help with their design and training of current and new systems.

Underwater electrical systems design involved camera, lights for low light environments, and a mix of analog and digital circuit design for AC motor control

The system was designed to meet and exceed industry standard for diver safety and to ensure that all components and equipment could be installed, operated, and recovered with little risk of electrocution

As a project manager working with specific groups, maintaining deadlines, and scheduling meetings.

Schmidt Ocean Institute Jan 2016-July 2017

Systems Engineer-Electrical Engineer

https://schmidtocean.org/technology/robotic-platforms/4500-m-remotely-operated-vehicle-rov/

Designed and built the world’s most advanced Remotely Operated Vehicle “ROV” for deep sea exploration of volcanic vents to CE standards,

The project was completed in under 2 years (ahead of schedule and under budget)

Purchased COTS equipment and design a solution to incorporate those parts with the ROV that was being designed, factoring in fiber optics, HD cameras, camera controls, communication lines

Designed a solution to bring 3kV of power from the surface down to the ROV, splitting it off into individual power supplies and power monitoring devices for each component using analog (20%) and digital (80%) circuitry

With a small team of 5 engineers and a hand full of contractors we finished and tested the system near the coast of Guam at 4,500 meters below the sea off the research vessel Falkor.

After completing the design we delivered the system to Guam and deployed 6hrs off the coast in the Marianas Trench for 2 months working with the pilots and science team to prove out the system.

Remote Ocean Systems. San Diego, CA Jul 2012-Nov 2015 Systems Engineer-Electrical Engineer

Electronics design for nuclear Power Plant monitoring equipment involving oceanographic positioners, cameras, lights and other electronics to CE standards

Design mostly analog circuits to avoid interference by nuclear radiation

Working for ROS has given me the chance to work on complete designs.

As an EE I have worked with other groups, maintaining deadlines, and scheduling meetings.

Designing individual products made to work separately or as a full unit. Sidus Solutions. San Diego, CA July 2017-Aug 2018
