I am currently enrolled in my second year at Bradley University for Family Nurse Practitioner program. Though I have been primarily in Home Health for the past few years, I am very skilled in nursing and can work in any clinical environment.

I am current on BLS/ACLS Castel Branch Clearance is up to date.

My philosophy on nursing.

With the continuous changes in the practice of nursing, I want to use my specialized knowledge, experience, and skills to educate people on their health and help improve and promote health and well-being. I maintain ethical and practice standards, while being aware of my role and responsibilities as a healthcare provider.

I demonstrated excellence in my nursing care and career and have a deep background of experience and an intuitive grasp of clinical situations. My skills and performance are fluid, flexible and highly proficient. I continue to learn, grow, and develop to expand my current knowledge base as the medical technology and evidence- based care is becoming more evident in practice.

Military experience 1987 to 1990

Trained as a combat Medic in US Army. Primary I worked in the ER/Trauma.

1990-1993 worked in a women's clinic Bryan Texas, in charge of the laboratory. During this time also went to LVN school, graduated in 1993 with LVN.

1993-1998 St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. Skilled in the ER, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Pre-op.

1998-1999 completed RN. after completing my RN went to work for Daniel Jarvis home healthcare in Bryan. Still worked for the hospital at the same time for clinical experience. With Daniel Jarvis I opened branch office, was the marketing director as well as DON.

1999-2004 worked for Memorial Hermann Hospital systems all their emergency rooms and Cardiac Cath lab.

2004-2014 Worked for Precise home healthcare and Axis Home health. Performed clinical skills as well as marketing director.

2014 to current. Working for Guardian home healthcare. I excel at being a self-starter with great time management skills. I have fantastic listening and communication skills combined with compassion for patients and their families. I have ability to work with people from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. I excel in being able to analyze information and make crucial life-or-death decisions that require keen critical thinking skills

I operate under a solid framework of ethics that guides my personal and professional conduct. Critical thinking is a strong suit of mine. I demonstrate flexibility and can adapt to a variety of patients and scenarios. I am accustomed to working long hours. I deal well with fluctuating schedules. I understand the demanding nature of nursing and it requires physical, mental and emotional strength.

Health care is a dynamic field. To stay current, I dedicate myself to continuing education and participation in professional organizations. I was recognized by the International Nurses Association as a top Registered nurse in Texas.
