JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Discipline Managers (QCM, CM), performed the duties as instructed.

Review Procedures of Documentation as per Project Specifications.

Review method of statement, QC procedures, ITP, Quality Plan and assist with establishing acceptable working practices for construction activities.

Responsible for the entire piping erection & inspection activities.

Check all mechanical/piping materials with the vendor as per purchased order as well as the approved standard specification.

Ensuring that there is Material Test Certificate available for every material ordered prior for inspection.

Ensuring that there is no damage for every material to be delivered at site during handling and hauling.

Monitor and inspect the prefabrication work of sub-contractors including the inspection of incoming materials, material handling, heat number transfer, fit-up, PMI (Positive Material Identification), reinforced pad test, etc.

Inspection before cutting the pipe to ensure that piping conforms to specified dimension and requirements.

Inspection of pipe spool cleanliness prior to fabrication (should be free from dirt, debris, damage and others).

Inspection on misalignment, gap, clearance, groove preparation of parts in conformance to specification and drawing requirements prior to welding.

Evaluation of test package contents, line checking against drawing requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy of the piping system.

Checking and punch listing items as per P&ID and Isometric drawing such as Pipe supports, Valves, Guides, Shoe supports, NDT completion and approving releasing of package for Hydro-Test.

Ensure proper protection of piping and fittings. Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges, proper flange face and fittings.

Ensure Satisfactory Identification of materials (PMI reports review). As per approved engineering drawing and project specification.

Issue internal Non-Compliance Report (NCR) for violation detected in installation of work if necessary.

Controlling the welding of joints according to Isometric Drawing and checking diameter, Thickness, Drawing Number, & Class in welding Progress report.

Involved in Mechanical completion activities, including punch list preparation according to category “A”,” B”, etc. and punch list follow-up for the close out of the punch item accordingly prior to final completion Inspection.

Witness of Hydro-test and Pneumatic-Test of piping systems.

Witness final pressure test, including verification of pressure gauges with adequate dial range and calibration of testing instrument.

Witness Pre-commissioning phase such as Air blowing (lay-up for carbons steel line and dry lay up for Stainless steel line).

Witness of Reinstatement of piping system after Hydro-Test.

Witness of chemical cleaning and Final Lay-up inspection of piping system.

Prepare and submit work completion reports to the QC supervisor or work Manager.

Attending Mechanical Completion Walk through and punch list preparation with client.
