Operations Manager

Involved with hiring and terminating, train and coach employees, teach safety procedures, set standards, delegate responsibilities and duties, role model, keep time cards, perform yearly/monthly reviews, approve time off, discipline, provide direct supervision to Customer Service Representatives, Territory Sales Representatives, Warehouse, Driver’s, Clerical, Technical Service Representatives, and contracted employees and service technicians, communicate and provide guidance and support, chair monthly branch meetings and safety meetings. Responsible for customer service of the branch and all employees, assist with customer problems, work with suppliers, manage branch returns or discrepancies, ensure on time deliveries and freight management. Develop and implement branch procedures and programs, meet branch goals and objectives set up each year, use company operating system to ensure the success of the branch, adhere to all Motion Industries standards. Ensure business policies and procedures are followed, assist in all day to day operations including but not limited to answering phones, filing, assisting in senior positions, sales calls and follow up on sales leads.

Manage inventory, check all purchase orders and make sure they follow Motions policies and procedures for payment. Conduct annual physical inventory, check daily cycle counts, update and maintain proper pricing following Motion standards and agreements, oversee large purchase orders, ensure accuracy with quantity and pricing to maintain timely payments to vendor and from customer\s. Oversea all A/P activities, including expenses, inventory and freight control and debits, manage collection process, maintain overall responsibility for outstanding payments. Perform all audits including but not limited to safety, operations, financial, internal. Work with inventory control group, maintain all supplier sales and support activities at the branch, comply with all Motions policies.

Plan and organize trade shows and business fair’s, advertising and promotions, file for permits, organize the merge of 2 companies, deal with surplus inventory and expired stock. Organize random projects, including but not limited to setting up a service trailer, setting up office trailer, build a mezzanine, set up hose assembly and testing area, demolish walls, shelving, floor, windows, concrete, fix up showroom and display area, organize work bench and service area, redesign shipping and receiving area, redesign front counter space and office space, plan company functions like Christmas party and office BBQ.
