Enviro Products International, LLC Maumelle, AR 01/2008 to 02/2019

Business Owner

With a business partner, created company as a wholesale distribution company. Two major distinctive product lines are provided by EPI, first is a unique product designed to clean up oil spills. EPI has customers in numerous states in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Pennsylvania and overseas also including the Panama Canal Zone where EPI set up a clean-up operation. The second group of products are optical products such as sunglasses, prescription eyeglasses, eyeglass cases, eyeglass cleaners, etc. Primary markets sold to in the past are Walmart and Sam’s Club, including the testing of products in the Walmart Optical Laboratories. Total sales $2.1-million.

Sold more than $120,000 annually in oil spill remediation chemicals to Cudd Energy Services throughout the United States. Convinced Cudd's Vice President of Environmental Services that our product was the most effective and safe. Then corporate pricing was negotiated successfully. Cudd Energy Services uses the product nationwide to clean up oil spills at their oil field work sites, primarily hydraulic oils from their fracking process.

Generated more than $200,000 in revenue after successfully setting up a high-tech blending facility in Panama City, Panama to produce chemicals used to clean up oil spills within the Panama Canal Zone. Project was completed in two weeks at a cost of $75,000. Met with members of the Panamanian Government and with the engineers at the Panama Canal Zone. Demonstrated how to use the product and trained six key employees. Within 30 days of arrival the Panamanian government had a spill and contracted to provide chemicals to clean up the spill. Sold personal interest for a profit shortly afterward.

Created innovative marketing strategy that sold $2.1-million in designer sunglasses inside Walmart and Sam’s Club, Walmart stole strategy. Manufacturers would not sell directly to Walmart, so goods were sourced from several foreign countries. This included getting sunglasses into the U.S., through customs and setting up financing with local banks. We had a net profit margin of 18% on this project after implementation of the strategy.

Lens Coating Laboratories, LLC /DLP Optical, LLC. North Little Rock, AR 01/2004 to 07/2018

Business Owner

Built optical coating laboratory from scratch in 2004. Generated $500,000 in annual sales. Management role in the company including all hiring and evaluating employees, technical work on high tech vacuum coating equipment, setting up marketing strategies, new product development, patent and trademarks. In 2016, added Digital Surfacing Equipment to add a direct revenue stream directly to eye doctors’ offices. Sold business for a profit in 2018.

Seized the opportunity to begin a superior lens coating business. A lack of high-quality coatings in the United States left a void that Lens-Coat.com filled since 2004. This opportunity was discovered while working as a consultant. As owner researched and bought all the best high-tech equipment, arranged financing for purchase, installed the equipment, hired employees, managed accounts, sales, all technical work on equipment, etc. Ran the business with 4 full time employees. Without prior experience in business grew the business to $500,000 in revenue in less than four years.

Contracted with a group of optical centers in Illinois in 2008 and relocated my lab into their facility. The negotiated contracted rates resulted in guaranteed daily minimums, which in turn, increased volume by 22%, and paid off the equipment by the end of the contract term. Managed the lab remotely using computer-based software including remote cameras. “Log Me In” software, also, remotely helped maintain the machines and solve troubleshooting issues.

Six months after ending previous business agreement, moved equipment back to Arkansas to set up own business. In less than a year generated $250,000 in revenue. Built business from scratch, picked up accounts nationwide as well as older accounts.

In 2013 purchased additional equipment including state of the art Digital Lens Surfacing and Finishing equipment to enable the company to work directly with ophthalmologist offices. By adding multiple new accounts throughout Arkansas, sales increased quickly and within 9 months, by 50%, to $400,000.
