CAREER OBJECTIVE

MICHELIN PROGRAM MANAGER

Rockwell Automation, Greenville, SC / Nov 2009 - Aug 2020 EXPERIENCE

As the Michelin program manager I was responsible for 22 direct reports and 72 indirect reports. We managed the Shipping, receiving, inventory management, asset

management, repair and purchasing of spare parts, and the reliability program for all 19 North American Tire plants.

The program was rated by a strict set of KPI's that where developed jointly by myself and the Operation's managers at each site for Michelin. We used a dashboard with Traffic lights for quick high level reviews. Any yellow areas where worked by my site leads and reported out to me weekly for a monthly follow up to Michelin. Any Red areas required myself to manage all corrective actions and report out to the local plant weekly and Corporate monthly until that KPI was again green.

To Rockwell I was responsible for all management related activity's for the program to include operations, hiring, firing, training and developing all direct reports, and providing oversite to the site leaders with the same for all indirect reports. Managed all third party labor and supplier contracts to support the program This included: cost P&L, retention (turnover rate), market share growth and contract renewals.

Overview: In 2009 Rockwell was contracted to manage 13 of Michelins Store Rooms. They had tried to standardize their operations for 30+ years with little success. I was hired to start up one of the plants at that time. I was able to take over the operations and completely transform that plant from 67% efficiency to 99.8% in 10 months. In 2011 I was promoted to Team Lead and was given the

responsibility to help the other plants site leads develop to the same level as the plant I had managed. At the end of 2011 all 13 where operating above 90% efficacy and I was promoted to Program Manager. Over the next 8 years I grew the program from 13 sites to all 19 in North America. The business revenue from $5.8 million to $16.8 Million. Wrote a standardized program manual with detailed work instructions with examples for every activity we controlled. All 19 Michelin store rooms now are completely

standardized and operate above 97% efficiency. Three of Rockwell's 7 major programs like the Michelin one are managed by individuals promoted from my team. Five current site leaders have been promoted from our

contract labor forces. In June 2020 we just signed another 4 year extension with Michelin making this program the longest running third party contract they have.

Hired in to BMW as a production associate in the body shop September1994 and preformed welding and general automotive body assembly. I was promoted to Kaizen

(Contentious Improvement) team lead for the body shop July 1995. In January 1996 I was placed in charge of 2nd shift operations and startup to manage start up and training for the 2nd shift. In October 1996 I was promoted to Staff level into the Supplier Quality Group. Here I was in charge of investigating supplier related quality issues, working with the supplier to resole the issues, manage and sort the inventory, and document all activity in the QSYS system and correct inventory in SAP. Reviewed all supplier 8D reports and confirmed effectiveness. July of 1998 I was promoted to the Coordinator level and was given launch management responsibilities as well as current model production for various selected suppliers. Established Control plans, ISIR documents and DFMEA and PFMEA

documents with suppliers. Preformed Gauge R&R reviews, Fit Form and Function reviews on all new parts and tools. Early in 2003 it had become obvious to the senior

management team the I had a talent for" fire fighting "

(Going into a supplier that was having major issues such as production, quality, logistics, or operations.) and working through the issues and getting them up to speed with both production numbers and quality. This also involved working with their suppliers and making tool changes, process layout improvements, installing Poka-Yokes, developing rework processes, and in some cases obtaining Deviation allowances from BMW AG to revise standards that where not feasible to maintain. I finished my years at BMW managing the Takata air bag issue, 2007-2009. I took a early retirement package in April 2009
