Maintain and operate the designated bank account, sign checks for approved payments and assisted in preparing monthly Bank Reconciliation for all the Bank accounts;
Prepare and render periodic reports and financial statements as per the reporting requirements of the donors and the Government;
Assisting in migrating donor financed projects from SUN Accounting Software to the government national accounting system-IFMIS;
Training the PFMU staff in donor related disbursement procedures and preparation of financial reports;
Reporting to the Comptroller & Accountant General and attend to any work assigned by the Unit Director.
Liaise with the Project Implementation Units, internal and external auditors and follow up on any audit queries and PFMU correspondence.

The Project Financial Management Unit (PFMU) is a specialized unit established within the Ministry of Finance (former) and now Ministry of Finance and Development Planning to be responsible for providing centralized accounting, disbursement, procurement and reporting services of donor funded projects that are executed by the Government of Liberia. The PFMU is currently providing Financial Management services for World Bank Projects, African Development Bank (AfDB) Projects, SIDA Projects, Education Pooled Fund Project, USAID, UNDP Projects, DFID Projects and Bill & Melinda Gates Project, etc.
