Built an MRP system for scheduling the parts for all sub-assemblies and parts of driving and driven shaft while minimizing holding & inventory costs. Applied heuristics such as Silver Meal to find Optimal Planned Order (EOQ) Release for the product while avoiding stockouts by calculating lead time. We achieved 23.94% cost reduction compared to traditional method along with workforce reduction with improving the vendor and purchasing management.
