A Department of Defense contractor working with Naval Systems Warfare Center – Port Hueneme Division with 4,000+ employees specializing in employee engagement, new hire orientation and implementing D&I hiring best practices.

• Quickly led migration of Navy’s New Hire Orientation from instructor-led training to video-instructor-led training in 10 days. Per direct tasking by HR Executive Director to comply with telework mandate. Our team developed an innovative solution that actually increased onboarding by 21% in spite of pandemic. Reduced length from 32 hours to 16 hours and received high evaluations of the virtual experience of 4.57 (out of 5.0) from new hires.

• Change management: R&D new virtual courses on DE&I topics: identifying micro-aggressions, biases and blind spots, and writing with inclusive language. Developed as part of the strategy to prepare workforce to return to base. This DE&I learning initiative has improved employee engagement, facilitated virtual conversations on current issues and supports supervisors as they move from command/control to cooperative, agile and innovative culture.

A Department of Defense contractor working with 3,900+ employees at NSWC – Port Hueneme Division specializing in leadership development, talent development, employee engagement, communications performance management and executive coaching.

• Assess knowledge, skills and abilities of leaders and potential leaders, define gaps and develop training strategies to mitigate. Using ADDIE - Collaborated with senior leaders to create custom solutions to address knowledge and performance gaps. Developed five workshops and delivered 182 trainings reaching 2,248 employees, facilitating conversations on personal and professional growth and workforce engagement.

• Led 360 assessments, and personal coaching for 163 mid-and senior-level leaders including customized personal improvement programs, resulting in leaders reaching 91% of their goals. Including integration of D&I best practices into their leadership rhythm and intentional employee engagement habits, traditions and activities for their teams.

• Collaborated with SMEs to research studies of High Potentials and developed a custom engagement and communications proposal for Port Hueneme Division to implement. Example: surveyed 432 employees to help define and clarify ‘Support’ as we seek to support the warfighter and the mission. Discovered that there are seven keys to support. Trained 1,200+ employees on communication, engagement and alignment around the theme of support.

A Google-funded medical research initiative with 100+ employees specializing in longevity, wellness and resistance to disease.

• Consult with clients – physicians and executives to design a customized talent development strategy, and organizational development initiative to improve morale, performance and culture. Identified five key habits that contributed to underperformance, and defined new healthy behaviors to replace them, leading to alignment, clarity and effective leadership.
