Personal Statement
I am highly motivated researcher to carry out research in the field of cancer biology. I have a
broad background in cancer biology with specific training and expertise in cell and molecular biology. As a doctoral fellow at NCCS, Pune, India, I played the key role in completing few projects. More specifically, using molecular biology tools, I have demonstrated the transcriptional regulation of osteopontin gene in cervical cancer model.
In addition, I successfully worked on cancer drug discovery program using target specific
synthetic drug for cervical cancer. I have excellent expertise in various techniques such as confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay (EMSA), western blotting, gene and promoter cloning, protein expression, RT-PCR and mice experiments. My sincere efforts and scientific attitude prompted me to produce several peer-reviewed international publications. In summary, I have demonstrated testimony of accomplished and productive research in an area of cancer biology, and my expertise and experience have prepared me a suitable candidate for this position.
