GKN Aerospace, Engineering Co-op 1/20 – Present
• Designed 3 complex 3D fixtures and 3 gages with NX for measuring part features on the factory floor along with 3D covers for 2 different airfoils to help locate thickness points
• Managed over 50 parts a week coming from manual inspection and cleared groups for the next process through the quality program TIPQA
• Updated operation and inspection method sheets in Teamcenter to new revisions by reading technical drawings to verify data matched and suggested improvements
• Communicated directly with suppliers to provide data for purchase orders
• Initiated creating VBA programs to help with automation of data collection and reporting for engineering
• Communicated directly with buyers from GKN Norway and GE for reporting non-conformances University of Cincinnati IRAS Lab, Student Research Co-op 4/19 - 8/19
• Researched how to program a KUKA LBR iiwa robot arm to scan a room with an Intel Realsense 3D camera and use data to construct a 3D point cloud of its surroundings
• Decided to design and print a 3D model of an adapter for attaching the camera to the robot
• Independently researched how to connect Meshlab with ROS and Intel Realsense SDK on a Nvidia microcontroller so to generate the 3D scan of the room and published the setup process to GitHub TECT Power, Engineering Co-op 8/18-12/18
• Came up with an idea of coding a prediction macro in VBA for new MLE blades to increase the Powerform process yield by 20 percent
• Managed the MRB reduction and process of new BA fan blades for the Powerform process by marking parts for polishing and informing operators what parts to run
• Programed macros with Excel for gathering CMM reports and merging them into one PowerPoint presentation the engineers could easily read
TECT Power, Engineering Co-op 1/18 - 4/18
• Monitored CMM data for MLE blades after the Powerform process and used this information to investigate problems in the process
• Designed 3D models for holding part routers on the side of lot bins Skills
Coding: MATLAB, C++, RobotC, Java, LabVIEW, VBA, Python, Linux Modeling: Siemens NX, SolidWorks, STAR-CCM+ CFD, Abaqus FEA, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Leadership
• President of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space
• Payload Team Lead for UC CubeCats- Project Toyger Henry B Voss
