Profile
My experiences as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2009, and as a Registered Nurse in critical care areas since 1995, are a strong background for critical thinking, communication, and collaboration in providing medical care, both in home and in clinic settings. I have DOT certification, current DEA and licensing in Texas.
I have created and nurtured strong professional relationships by delivering excellent patient care with knowledge, compassion, empathy, humor, training and education within the scope of practice of an advance practice nurse. I have provided comprehensive interval history, physical examination, and health assessment of patient with acute and chronic health problems, utilizing EMR, in both the in-clinic setting, as well as the home and facility settings. My various duties of identifying differential diagnoses, evaluating the severity of the patient's illness and executing a plan of care include all age groups across the life span, and include medication, lifestyle, and therapeutic interventions by collaborating with physicians and home care providers.
I understand and practice the management of patients in rural settings and the importance of utilizing creative resources with collaboration with family and caregivers.
