In the year 2000, left services for a year to add technical qualification, attended courses and appeared in AMIE exams and a member in Institution of Engineers.

Attended crash courses in NDT and welding technology in Welding research Institute BHEL. Obtained Clearance Discharge certificate from MMD to sail in Merchant Navy Ships.

Intensive training on Dredge application and selection at Technical Institute of Dredging, Royal IHC Merwede, at Nederland.

Certified Soft skill Trainer from IATD-Chennai.

Work Experience – 25 Years in Construction/Repair of Floating Crafts. Engineer Trainee ( 1995 To 1999) -Started My technical career in M/s Tebma Shipyards Ltd- Chennai, as ship construction trainee Engineer from 1995 at my age of 21 years in areas of construction of new Voith /SRP tug Boats. My responsibility in first year is to check and monitor construction sequence,which is core role of ship construction manager along with PPC activities, this made me confident to work in small tugs construction,commissioning up to delivery of tug boats, Worked in M/s Tebma Shipyards till 1999 December. During my tenure handled Quality control department and was part of commissioning of newly constructed Vessels.

Role of Super numeric Crew / Work shop Engineer. (2000 Year) . After 4 years of ship construction experience with Tebma Shipyard, on my own interest sailed as super numeric crew in 50,000 ton Bulk Carrier M.V. ICL RajaRajan for 4 Months to attend the complete renovation of Auxiliary Engines. This voyage provided me hands on experience to carry out overhauling of engine internal arrangements and functions. Role of Piping /Project Engineer(2000-2001).

Joined M/S Shanta Marine Biotechnological Company- for its New Beta carotene extracts from Sea water processing Method involved as a Hydraulic Engineer for erection and commissioning of complete piping system with Centrifuge, boilers and decanters. Establishing Drawings, flow lines and scheme as per scientists laid requirement. I had left services, after the plant was commissioned and started its production. Role of Yard Manager -New construction on a specific project.(Year2002 to 2003). Joined back in Ship Building activity with M/s Goodwill Engineering works(part of SICAL Group),Pondicherry -India – Involved in erection, trials &commissioning and delivery of 2 No 32 ton Bollard Pull VSP Tugs with the design from M/s K .Damen Shipyard under rules Have left service after delivery of Tug Boats and was recalled by my Mentor to the Company started the same year.

Role of Project Manager and Assistant General Manager -Resources (2003 April to 2019 August).I was recalled by ex-M/s Tebma Collegues to join them as Project Manager in M/s Startek Shipyards pvt Ltd- at Kolkata, a new company established in the same year in construction, commissioning and delivery of Cutter Suction Dredgers in Collaboration with M/s IHC Holland, Since then I was involved in work execution with their all new construction and repair projects of Cutter Suction Dredger, TugBoats, Pilot Boats and Barges. My enriching experience and interest along with company promoters’ vision encouraged me to take up a lead to market products and submission of new Tender/Projects and grabbed orders with in India/ exports. My active role was in outsourcing proven tender design/particulars from reputed design house, price estimation and functions of bidding/submissions. I was involved in pricing to grab orders of 12 Vessels of different dimension/ installed power. Besides these, I had also worked in equipments selection, procurement, and coordination with surveyors and customers for smooth completion of the vessels. All the vessels were delivered successfully. The remarkable orders were bagged from Mauritius Port Authority in international bidding and other orders were from M/s Naval dockyard Mumbai, M/s GRSE and M/s Larsen and Toubro Ltd were significant. In addition to the above, the powers were vested in me to obtain orders/ execute work in defense Shipyard GRSE, Kolkata and prestigious private yard M/s Larsen &Toubro Ship building both in Hazira and Kattupalli. I was associated with both M/s GRSE AND Larsen & Toubro since 2007 in Hull and Hull outfitting Work. I was involved with both Shipyards since 2007.

Role of Manager Marketing (August 2019 – Till Date): Joined M/s Sicagen India Ltd, as manager marketing in their Boat building division, to submit RFPs to Indian Navy for Dumb Barges and Harbor crafts.
