Cybrary, Vice President, Content and Community Washington, DC 2018-Current

Hired as original Head of Product to build out the application and the content library of a post series A education company. Led the customer success, product, customer service, content, and community teams at various stages while the company has increased revenues from sub $1M to over $13M in 2 years and raised a Series B. Built a global team from scratch of 12 employees with 200 contractors in design, development, and management of our entire community and content systems.

Expanded the existing content catalog size by 500% in the space of 18 months to become the largest, fastest growing, and most expansive catalog in cyber security. Overall increase from 300 to 1500 items.

Created, developed, and managed community infrastructure for the consumer product from inception to over 14,000 paid consumer units in the space of two years. Annual recurring revenue increased from 0 to $6M/yoy. Thousands of learners landed new job opportunities or were promoted in their roles.

Developed, designed, and implemented new training infrastructure for coaching and management of our creator community which has over 1700 creators for the product. Presented at conferences thought leadership on the subject of utilizing network effects and Blooms taxonomy to scale an education system.

Formed and managed the company advisory board for Cybrary which guides our company strategy. It includes the CISO of Tanium, the former CISO of AT&T, and the CTO of Unisys.

Equifax Inc, Senior Director, Product Management Washington, DC 2016-2018

Hired to lead new product development. Product launches that had stalled for the team for four years and I led new product development in Software and Predictive Data Analytics for Data-driven Marketing

Developed and launched the Salesforce Application WealthGauge. Net revenue was $15M with ROI of o 40%.

Managed two global scrum teams of six to build software and predictive analytic data models. Developed predictive models for IRA rollovers and future income, revenue increased $4M in three years.

AARP, Senior Strategy Advisor, Washington, DC 2014-2015

Hired to develop product and program strategy for a $1.5B non-profit.

Designed strategy to increase membership by 35% by 2020. Resulted in a 10 point increase in net promoter score, a 2% increase in renewals, and an 8% increase in likelihood to join or renew.

Created resource allocation tool and piloted a process to align $1.5B budget with strategic goals. The process allocates resources across key areas of relevance, revenue, and impact.

Eli Broad Foundation, Director of Strategy and Business Development, Washington, DC 2011-2013 Selected for elite fellowship through the Broad Foundation at Friendship Public Charter Schools that took executives in alternative sectors and put them in executive roles in urban education. Charged with turning around my mother’s old high school and developing and executing the charter renewal, academic, and expansion strategy..

Spearheaded and launched academic strategy. The result was a 14% increase in students on track for college entry (280 students) in the first year with an increase of 50% (1000 students) over five years.

Developed organizational restructuring model and career ladder for teachers and administrators which was the backbone for the organization’s talent management. The System was presented at a conference on human resources management, offering a potential solution to restructure this six trillion dollar industry.

Barclays Group, London, UK; Cairo, Egypt 2008-2011

Vice President / Chief of Staff to the Managing Director, Barclays Wealth UK and Ireland (2010-2011)

Promoted to Vice President to grow out our Wealth Management Business in the UK. Directly reported to CEO and acted on his behalf in managing a 1,200 person organization

Executed long-term growth plan - revenue increased by 20% ($411M); within the first year net new assets increased by 7% ($2B).

Spearheaded development of banker model and incentive program to more effectively deliver solutions to clients and retain and develop the right employees for the firm. This led to reduced costs and better delivery.

Head of International, Barclays Business, London, UK (2009-2010)

Promoted to P&L leader during the credit crisis to ignite revenues in new markets for Barclays Business UK. Managed a cross-functional twenty-person team across the UK and a $130M portfolio consisting of 70K small medium (SME) businesses across all international and trade products. Managed the product line for 20 products.

Created and led a long-term product strategy that resulted in a $66M increase in annual revenues and a 15% improvement in Net Income.
