Electrical Inspector

Inspect site conditions prior to start of construction activities. Verify the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works.

Check for obstructions. Photograph and document the condition of existing property that might be damaged by the work.

Review of Contractor’s inspection, surveying and testing requests and subsequent completed reports.

Review and Approval of the Contractor’s Shop Drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer/ARE.

Review and Approval of the Contractor’s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer/ARE

Inspect the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals

Prepare daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. perform all work in accordance with Project Specification, Contract Administration Procedures Manual.

Observe site safety practices and the progress of the work. Report any concerns to the RE or ARE.

Coordination with Contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.

Issuance of SOR,QOR and NCR in case of any deviations from Project Specifications and Approved Shop Drawings

Monitoring conformance with the Contractor’s schedule.

Review RFIs received from Contractor (s) and make recommendations on resolution.

Review any requests for variance received from Contractors and provide comments as to entitlement and recommendations on resolution.

Job responsibilities:

Electrical Engineer

Preparation of Method Statements for Electrical and ELV system.

Preparation of Material Submittal as per specifications & vendor list.

Carrying out Material inspection request.

Preparation of Shop Drawings based on approved Design Drawings.

Submission of shop drawings to the consultant and refer the consultant comments.

Preparation of LOAD SCHEDULE.

To take Quantity from approved shop drawing for all lighting, power and ELV systems.

Preparing various Periodical reports regarding quantity for 1st fix, 2nd fix, and final fix for all lighting, power and ELV system.

Preparation of work program to achieve the target on the site.
