Primary care clinical experience:

oExposure to: management of asthma, diabetes mellitus types 1 and 2, COPD, peripheral vascular disorders, neuropathies, thyroid disorders, buprenorphine therapy for opioid addiction treatment, various musculoskeletal issues, male and female urinary issues and many other disease processes.

Urgent care clinical experience:

oExposure to: Interpretation of abdominal, chest and various bone and joint radiographic imaging; various bracing, splinting, sport physicals, DOT physicals, in-house lab testing for streptococcal pharyngitis, urinalyses (with interpretation), etc.

oSkills performed: numerous laceration repairs with suturing, adhesive glues and wound closure strips; numerous ear lavages for cerumen impactions and foreign body removal from ear canals; minor abscess incision and drainage; acute and chronic wound care; assisted with cautery of anterior nosebleed with silver nitrate and use of topical vasoconstrictors.

Orthopedics specialty clinical experience:

oExposure to: Interpretation of radiographic imaging of numerous pediatric and adult shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet; MRIs/MRAs of shoulders, hips and knees; outpatient trigger finger releases, intra-articular injections, joint aspirations, splinting, casting and bracing.

oSurgeries observed: multiple total knee arthroplasties, knee arthroscopies and distal biceps tendon repair
